Face Tune

Face Tune is a big problem in today's social media obsessed culture. Some women and men alter their pictures to the extreme like the above example. They try to create this unrealistic ideal that society as put on each of us, but especially women. Like makeup, women or men use Face Tune to try and create the best version they see themselves as; however, photo shop is more negatively perceived. It can be harmful for others self-esteem when they see pictures like this not knowing if it's real or not. Altering of the body shape is sometimes harder to catch, so this fake body shape is idolized. Many people can not biologically achieve the perfect hourglass figure, but on Instagram anyone can have it. It may help some to feel more empowered, but in the end it is only harmful. The unrealistic female body double is not real yet many believe it is because of social media and magazines. This unfortunate body double will most likely never be erased. There will always be people praising this imagined idealistic body. Celebrities will also always enforce it with Face Tune and surgery combined. This body body shape is so engraved in our culture that Face Tune isn't a problem for most. Many girls use Face Tune to look like women who are ultimately also using Face Tune. It is a harsh cycle of acceptance when the majority of the world doesn't look like these uncanny mannequins.
